Ang Bennett is an Omaha transplant from Michigan by way of Arkansas. They are currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Art History with a minor in Journalism & Media Communications at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Ang’s first involvement with Inclusive Communities was as an Omaha Table Talk (OTT) volunteer facilitator. Ang has also been a panelist for two OTTs centering on trans and gender non-conforming identities.
Ang is a heavy contributor to the thriving Omaha arts scene, currently serving as the Vice-President at BFF Omaha, a local arts non-profit. Additionally, Bennett has held the position of Visual Arts Chair for the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards since 2021, transitioning from a shared co-chair role, and is actively engaged as a member of both the Amplify Arts Community Advisory Group and Opera Omaha Community Panel. Outside of IC and art, Ang plays semi-professional tackle football for the Nebraska Pride in the Women’s Football Alliance.
