Yesenia Valenzuela is a dedicated advocate and community leader, currently serving as the Community Relations Coordinator for the City of Omaha Mayor’s office. In this pivotal role, Yesenia assumes the responsibility of bridging the gap between the city administration and the vibrant South Omaha community. Her primary focus is to facilitate effective communication, ensuring that information reaches residents in a manner that aligns with their linguistic preferences and cultural nuances. 

Yesenia’s passion for inclusivity and community engagement is at the forefront of her work. She strives to create an environment where every resident of Omaha feels empowered and informed about ongoing city projects and processes. Her commitment to accessibility drives her efforts to deliver information swiftly and accurately, fostering a sense of transparency and connection between the city and its residents. 

With a wealth of experience, Yesenia brings a unique perspective to her role. Over the years, she has collaborated with esteemed leaders and organizations, always placing a special emphasis on serving the underserved. Her diverse background includes impactful roles, ranging from direct service at the Learning Community Center to her long tenure as Operations Manager for OneWorld Community Health Centers. 

Yesenia Valenzuela’s journey is marked by a tireless dedication to community service and a profound understanding of the unique needs of both North and South Omaha. Her collaborative spirit, coupled with her wealth of experience, positions her as a driving force in building stronger, more connected communities. As the Community Relations Coordinator, Yesenia is steadfast in her mission to empower and uplift Omaha, ensuring that every resident is not just heard but included and informed in the vibrant tapestry of their city’s progress. 

Yesenia is a wife and a mother of two boys Solomon 12 and Sebastian 5. In her free time she enjoys running, watching her 12 yr old play sports and family movie nights.
